Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about insulation.

Spray foam is applied as a liquid that expands and hardens, creating an air-tight seal and vapor barrier. It has higher R-values (6-7 per inch for closed-cell). Blown-in insulation is loose material that's blown into wall cavities using a hose and machine. It's more affordable but provides lower R-values (3.5-4 per inch) and does not create an air seal on its own.
Open-cell foam is softer, more affordable, and excellent for soundproofing (R-value 3.5/inch). Closed-cell foam is rigid, water-resistant, and provides superior insulation (R-value 6-7/inch). For Georgia's hot-humid climate, we often recommend closed-cell for exterior walls and conditioned attics because it also acts as a vapor barrier preventing the moisture issues that are common here.
Costs vary based on product type, your home's size, and the area being insulated. Blown-in runs $2.00–$2.30/sq ft, open-cell spray foam $1.85–$2.15/sq ft, and closed-cell $1.55–$1.85/sq ft/in. We provide free consultations with transparent, itemized quotes and no hidden fees.
Most attic blown-in projects are completed in a single day. Spray foam projects typically take 1–3 days depending on scope and area size. We'll give you a specific timeline estimate during your free consultation.
Yes, significantly. Properly insulated homes typically see 10–30% reductions in heating and cooling costs. Closed-cell spray foam especially in conditioned attics tends to produce the most dramatic savings because it addresses both thermal resistance and air sealing simultaneously.
Yes. Once spray foam has fully cured (24 hours), it is completely inert and safe. During installation, the work area is ventilated and sealed off, and we ask families to vacate for 24 hours. Blown-in insulation requires no wait time at all families can return immediately after installation.
Absolutely. We provide full warranties on both materials and workmanship. We stand behind every installation and want you to have complete peace of mind. Ask us for specific warranty terms during your consultation.
Yes. For existing walls, we drill small holes between each stud bay, densely pack the cavity with blown-in insulation through a hose, then patch and paint the holes. It's a minimally invasive process that most homeowners can't tell was done once the paint dries.
Georgia falls in climate zones 2–4 depending on location. For Coweta and Fayette County (Zone 3), the DOE recommends R-30 to R-60 for attics and R-13 to R-15 for walls. We'll verify the current insulation levels in your home and tell you exactly what's needed to hit those targets.
We proudly serve Coweta County and Fayette County, Georgia, including Newnan, Fayetteville, Peachtree City, and surrounding communities. Contact us to confirm service availability for your specific address.
For spray foam jobs, yes. You, your family, and pets will need to be out of the home for at least 24 hours while the foam hardens and any fumes clear. We will confirm your all-clear time before we leave. For blown-in insulation, there is no wait time at all. You can return home as soon as we are finished.
We try to make it as simple as possible. After you reach out, we schedule a free walk-through at your convenience, usually within a few days. Once you decide to move forward, most jobs are scheduled and completed within one to two weeks. The installation itself takes one to three days depending on the size and type of job.
Almost certainly yes. In most Georgia homes, heat gets in through an under-insulated or improperly sealed attic. Your AC ends up fighting a losing battle because heat keeps pouring in from above. Adding or upgrading attic insulation is often the single most effective thing you can do to make your upstairs comfortable and bring your energy bills down. We will assess exactly what is happening in your home and tell you what we would do to fix it.
