Blown-In Insulation

Loose-fill insulation blown by machine into attics, wall cavities, and floors. The most affordable way to achieve a real insulation upgrade, especially in existing homes where retrofit, not new construction, is the goal.

Is This Right for You?

You want to upgrade your attic without a major project
Budget is your top priority
You want to add insulation over what you already have
You need insulation in existing walls without tearing out drywall
You want to be back home the same day

One Thing to Know

Blown-in insulation slows heat transfer well, but it doesn't seal air leaks on its own. If your attic has gaps around light fixtures, plumbing, or where walls meet the ceiling, we address those first before blowing in insulation. Skipping that step is one of the most common mistakes in the industry, and it leaves a lot of your energy savings on the table. We always check and always tell you what we find.

Key Benefits

Most Affordable Option

Significantly less expensive than spray foam, making it the right call for large areas like a full attic or when budget matters.

Great for Existing Homes

Added to your attic without touching ceilings or walls. For existing walls, we drill small holes, fill the space, and patch it back up.

Gets Into Every Corner

The loose material works around joists, pipes, and electrical boxes, spaces sheet insulation simply cannot reach.

Moisture Resistant

Fiberglass does not absorb water, so it won't grow mold or lose insulating value in humid Georgia conditions.

Done in a Day

Most attic jobs are finished in a single day with very little disruption to the rest of your home.

No Wait Time

Unlike spray foam, there's no curing period, your family can come back home as soon as we're done.

How It Works

We use a machine that breaks up the insulation material and blows it through a hose directly into your attic or wall cavities. In an open attic, we guide the hose across the floor and build the material up to the right depth. For walls, we drill small holes between stud spaces, fill the cavity completely, then patch and paint the holes, most homeowners can't tell anything was done once the paint dries.

The material settles slightly over time, which is normal. We always install it a little deeper than the target depth to account for that, so your home ends up exactly where it should be.

How Much Does Blown-In Insulation Cost?

Our standard attic package to reach R-38, the baseline target for most Georgia homes, runs $2.15–$2.30 per sq ft. Wall-cavity retrofits and higher R-value attic upgrades (up to R-60) vary based on square footage and current insulation levels. It's the most affordable insulation option we install, and we give you an exact, itemized quote after a free walk-through.

Blown-In Insulation FAQ

Yes. In most cases we blow new insulation directly over what's already there rather than removing it, as long as the existing material isn't wet, moldy, or contaminated. That keeps cost down and the job quick.
Most attic jobs are finished in a single day. Wall-cavity retrofits depend on how many stud bays need to be filled, but are also typically done in one day.
Yes, slightly, typically 5 to 15 percent over the years. We always install it a bit deeper than the target R-value to account for that settling, so your home stays where it should be.
