New Construction Insulation

Insulation on a new build has to happen at exactly the right point in the framing schedule, after rough-in, before drywall, with zero room for the sequence to slip. We work directly with builders and general contractors on new-construction homes throughout Coweta and Fayette County, showing up on the day the job calls for and getting it done right the first time so the schedule keeps moving.

Working With Builders

We know a new-construction schedule doesn't have slack in it. When we take on a new-build job, we commit to the date it needs to happen and show up ready, crew, materials, and equipment on site, no rescheduling the framer or drywall crew around us. We're happy to do a walk-through with the builder or GC ahead of time to confirm the insulation plan matches the energy code requirements and the specific R-values called for in the plans.

What We Install

Spray Foam

Open- and closed-cell for exterior walls, conditioned attics, and homes where air sealing is part of the energy plan.

Blown-In Insulation

Attic and wall-cavity insulation for standard-spec new builds where cost efficiency matters.

Code Compliance

Insulation installed to meet current Georgia energy code requirements for new residential construction.

Documentation

We can provide photos and thickness documentation of the completed insulation for your records or inspection.

Why It's Worth Getting Right the First Time

Insulation is one of the few parts of a new build that becomes completely inaccessible once drywall goes up. A gap, a thin spot, or a missed cavity found after the fact means opening walls back up, expensive and disruptive for everyone. We install to the full depth and coverage the plans call for the first time, and we'll flag anything upstream (an air leak, a framing gap) that would undercut the insulation before it's covered over.

For Homeowners Building Custom

If you're building a custom home and choosing your own subs, we're happy to talk through open-cell vs. closed-cell, R-value targets above and beyond minimum code, and where spray foam vs. blown-in makes the most sense for your specific plan, before the framing is even finished.

What Does New Construction Insulation Cost?

Cost depends on square footage, the product specified in the plans (blown-in vs. open-cell vs. closed-cell), and R-value targets above minimum code if you're building custom. We quote directly off the plans whenever possible, so builders get a firm number for bidding and homeowners building custom know the cost before framing is finished.

New Construction Insulation FAQ

As soon as you know your framing timeline. We commit to a specific date on the schedule, so the earlier we're looped in, the easier it is to guarantee we're there exactly when the job calls for it.
Yes. We regularly coordinate directly with builders and general contractors, confirming R-value specs, scheduling around the framing and drywall crews, and providing documentation for inspection if needed.
For Coweta and Fayette County (Climate Zone 3), current energy code calls for R-30 to R-60 in attics and R-13 to R-15 in walls, depending on construction type. We build to at least code minimum and can go higher if you want better performance.
